Geese in Flight

A drive to the lake on Friday proved to be interesting when a few geese floated by. It seemed as though they put on a show for the camera's. We later found two in a nearby field and were able to get close enough to take a few shots. This old split rail fence sits on a bank just above the lake. I thought the washed out look and lines made a nice contrast against the landscape.

I made a promise to a few friends recently that I would capture a bird in flight in my backyard. Since birds seem to take a flight path around my yard I decided to try a new location. Katie and I went to the Georgia boat launch yesterday and found a group of seagulls who were more that happy to pose for a few shots. I hope to expand my horizons with new species of birds but the gulls did make for an enjoyable shoot.
