Let It Snow

We got our share of snow last weekend as levels in our area topped 14 inches. After cleaning the driveway it was time for some fun. The kids enjoyed sledding and I saw an opportunity to take some photos.

Christmas Spirit

A recent visit to the Christmas Loft in Shelburne provided the backdrop for some color and a spark to ignite that Christmas spirit.

Trick or Treat

Katie finished the ghost just in time for Halloween. We decided to go with a bat necklace which turned out pretty well. Katie was Cleopatra and got alot of compliments on her costume. She filled her bag as we did the mile loop around our development. Brenda stayed at the house and handed out candy. We had a special little lamb visit with us last evening. I had to include her photo. We had well over 200 visitors and had to turn lights out before 8pm as we ran out of candy. It was a beautiful evening with good memories to hold on to.

Happy Halloween!

Saturday morning was a good time to capture rain drops on some fallen leaves in the yard.

FALL COLORS

Brenda and I took a ride after Church while Katie was rehearsing with the youth choir. We found a few areas bursting with fall colors.

Halloween Project

Katie has been wanting to make a Halloween project and this weekend seemed to be a good one to get started on it. She decided on a ghost. I found a piece of plywood in my workshop which seemed to be a good size for creating a ghost. My artistic ability is limited but I managed to draw what I thought a ghost would look like. I cut out a pattern and had Katie get to work tracing it out on the plywood. The handheld scroll saw came in handy for cutting out the shape. Katie was waiting patiently with her sanding block to prep it for primer and white paint. This is where we are now. Hopefully this coming weekend we'll get some eyes and a mouth on followed by a scary saying that Katie has dreamed up. More to come!
